Medium-to-high surge gas discharge tubes (GDTs) also go by the name plasma surge protective devices. Developed to provide lightning protection to broadband telecommunications equipment, these GDTs also protect data cables and electrical power transmission lines. Littelfuse produces many sizes and types of medium-to-high surge GDTs. Our newer overvoltage protection devices are engineered to mount on the surface of printed circuit boards.
