TOO Applications
- Per the NEC, install Edison base fuses only as replacements when no evidence of overfusing or damage exists
- All new Edison base fuse holders must have Type S fuse adapters installed before the holders and fuses are placed in service
- Type S adapters cannot be removed after they are installed, and they prevent the installation of fuses that are too large or too small
- Type S adapters also prevent shunting of open fuses and reduce nuisance fuse opening
