High Power SIDACtor® protection thyristors offer ideal solutions for suppressing transient voltage surges in areas with high exposure to lightning strikes. Littelfuse makes several versions of these thyristors, including devices optimized to provide primary surge protection and meet international standards such as UL 497, GR-947, and ITU K.28. Other thyristors can protect ac power lines or outdoor telecommunications and networking equipment. We supply each of these thyristors in compact packages that mount easily on printed circuit boards and with peak repetitive forward voltage ratings as high as 550 V.
