Rapid and consistent transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) matters greatly in aviation. Aircraft, radar, landing systems, and onboard electronics such as FADEC, sensors, and fly-by-wire systems can fail catastrophically following a lightning strike or other voltage surges. Littelfuse meets the demand for high-reliability TVS diodes by producing several lines of overvoltage protection devices that have been screened and proven for avionics applications. All our high-reliability TVS diodes for avionics are military grade, and several employ Foldbak technology to deliver superior clamping.

- Meet IEC 6100-4-2 standards for providing ESD protection of up to 30 KV through the air and 30 kV by contact
- UL94 flammability ratings of V-0
- Lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant
